Developing the future
From 2023 to 2025, I supported the HELMHOLTZ Research Field ‘Earth and Environment’ in its strategy development (partly with Celia Schmidt).
In three large strategy workshops, each with 50 to 70 participants, management and leading scientists from seven centres developed a joint strategy for the future.
Aligning the team
At Climate Analytics’ Climate Policy Team Retreat 2025 in Berlin, I worked with the team to design and facilitate 2.5 intensive days of work.
We created an overview, developed strategic ‘plays’ and highlighted both challenges and strengths. The aim was to gain orientation and to position our strategic work more clearly in the context of the 1.5°C debate.
Uniting commitment
The ‘Future Conference 2022: Berlin Fair Change’ organised by the Fair Trade Action Alliance Berlin was a lively and wonderful experience – I had the privilege of moderating discussions on fair procurement, global responsibility and local implementation, and guiding participants through the market.
Tangible commitment, creative expression and humour made the conference a powerful catalyst for change.
Modelling complexity
Since 2024, I have been working with LEGO® Serious Play® – a method that makes thinking visible and strategic issues tangible.
My first clients were the City of Mannheim, the Energy Poverty Advisory Hub and fairantwortung. In the workshops, visions were modelled, conflicting goals clarified and concrete options for action developed. Let’s play!
Forstering exchange
In 2025, I moderated the annual online conference of the Climate Adaptation Centre (ZKA) for the fourth time – combining technical depth with lively participation.
Over two days, 200–300 participants exchanged ideas on adaptation strategies, partly in an open space / barcamp format.
Leveraging experience
My more than 30 clients include companies, research institutes, local authorities, ministries, universities, foundations and associations.
